Orthopedisch consult bij verzuim <6 maanden
The Orthopedic Consultation for absenteeism is an independent orthopedic examination intended for employees and insured persons who have been absent from work for less than 6 months. The report is based on a one-time examination by an orthopedic surgeon. It provides clarity regarding diagnosis, limitations and treatment options. The goal of the NOW is to provide well-founded treatment or reintegration advice at an early stage. Compared to a regular expertise, the Orthopedic consultation is not only faster, but also less stressful for the person involved and cheaper.
Distinguish with a orthopedic examination
The main difference between an Orthopedic consultation and a regular orthopedic examination is the timing. Our regular assessments are often used in cases of stagnant recovery or the substantiation of a WIA file. In the Orthopedic consultation, the primary emphasis is on early diagnosis and advice. Unnecessary or incorrect treatment trajectories are thus prevented. Because of this, the examination is not only quick, but also less stressful for the person involved and cheaper. If in doubt about the indication, you can always consult with one of our orthopedists.
The main features of the Orthopedic Consultation at a glance:
• bij verzuim < 6 maanden
• eenmalige beoordeling door orthopedisch chirurg
• doorlooptijd 2-4 weken (bij uitzonderlijke drukte kan dit langer zijn)
• helderheid over diagnostiek, beperkingen, behandelmogelijkheden en prognose
• combinatie met belastbaarheidsonderzoek is mogelijk
When to request?
An Orthopaedic consultation can be requested within 6 months of sick leave. The earlier the examination is initiated, the greater the chance of avoiding unnecessary or incorrect treatment courses. For absences longer than 6 months, we recommend a orthopedic examination.
Who can apply for the study?
An Orthopedic Consultation is successfully used by occupational physicians, occupational health departments, medical consultants, employers and case managers who want direction over the absence process from the outset.
