An Occupational Psychological Examination (APO) is often used when an employee suffers from psychological problems that affect performance. Through an initial online consultation, it is determined where the focus of the investigation will lie. This can be on career, personal coping or, for example, a strength-weakness analysis. With this, an occupational psychological assessment is always customized.

The goal of an APO is to provide more clarity about an employee's psychological capacity in his/her personal and social functioning at work. The examination focuses on the concrete formulation of points of attention in relation to suitable work. The aim is to promote further recovery and reintegration. The reason for intervention can be frequent absenteeism, psychological complaints that hinder work or, for example, getting stuck in reintegration.

How does an Occupational Psychological Assessment proceed?

Application

Once the application is received by us we will contact the individual within two business days to schedule the examination. The examination will take place within 4 weeks.

The examination

The APO starts with an online consultation with the psychologist. This online consultation begins with an explanation of the study, what will happen with the data and the rights of the person involved. Furthermore, during this consultation the psychologist will set the course for the further investigation together with the person concerned. After this online consultation, the person concerned will be asked to complete questionnaires online. These, together with any medical information received by the psychologist beforehand, are the starting point for the investigation. The follow-up examination will take place on-site at Sazyes. During this interview, the psychologist will elaborate on the results from the questionnaires, the psychological symptoms and the consequences that the person concerned experiences in the work situation.

The report

This should result in the most complete possible inventory of the nature and extent of the complaints, enabling the report to indicate concrete obstacles and possibilities (psychological capacity) in work and/or reintegration.

Information on progress

Our secretariat can inform you about the progress of the examination at any time.

Right of inspection and correction

The report is subject to inspection and correction rights. This means that the person concerned receives a copy of the draft report before it is sent to the applicant and can indicate whether there is an incorrect representation of facts, such as an incorrect (birth) date or name. Interpretations, such as observations and conclusion, fall outside the correction right.
